Info Post
Every month Walgreens puts out a Savings Book. You will find this book at the front of the store next to the weekly ad. Make sure you get one and keep it with you. This book contains lots of Walgreen coupons. You will notice in the ad 'in-store coupon'. These are found in the Savings Book. You do not need to cut them out. Just show the coupon to the clerk and they will scan it. The coupons can be used more than once in the month. You can also access the book at Walgreens.com.

Walgreens, at this time, will accept their coupon and a manufacture coupon for the same product. You will find their coupons in the Sunday ad. When you use both types of coupons on the same product you can save big.

When you check out, hand the coupons to the clerk in this order:
                                manufacture coupons
                                Walgreens coupons
                                 Register Rewards
This order will give you the best price on the products. No alarm will sound if you forget this. Use an acronym mower; manufacture, Walgreens, Reward to help you remember.

Prepare at home the order to shop for the sale items to get you the best deal. Shop for the Register Rewards first. Divide the cart into 2 areas so you can keep it straight. Or, bring your spouse along with his own cart! Next, shop for the sale items that are not providing Register Rewards but are a great deal. When you get to the check-out make 2 transactions. Tell the clerk you will be doing 2 transactions. Purchase the items that have the Rewards first. Use these Rewards to pay for all or most of the next transaction.
Example: 1st transaction: Crayola Washable Markers $2.00 plus tax earning Register Reward $2.00
2nd transaction: Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue $5.00
$1.00 coupon in the Walgreens Savings Book
                                       $0.75 manufacture coupon
Total $3.25: use $2.00 Register Reward so OOP is $1.25 plus tax.
Summary: For $1.25 plus tax you have Crayola Markers and toilet paper. Not bad!

I purchased several boxes of markers and donated them to my daughters school.
