WinCo Shopping Trip

I arrived at WinCo 15 minutes after it opened and found a huge line of people wrapping around the front sidewalk winding like a serpent. Needless to say,I left and returned 2 hours later to find the line about 50 deep. I braved the sun and waited for a cart about 1 1/2 hours only to finally enter the store and find that this was a mistake. People were wall to wall inching their way through the first aisle. What started out to be a quick recon turned into a  full on ordeal. The check out line started to form on the far side of the store winding through the produce, along the deli finishing up at the main aisle of the store, I thought I was at Disney Land but this line did move much quicker.  I only saw the aisles that I could spy from my vantage point in the peripheral check out line. But, I did grab a few sale items also know as 'cherry picking' as pointed out by my brother who works in the grocery biz.  The employees did try their best and helped to make it a good experience. They handed out coupons and cereal samples.

Northern Toilet Paper 12 pack $3.98 (limit 1)
Arrowhead Water 24/case $1.98 (limit 1)
Pepsi 24 pack $3.98 (limit 1)
Doritos $0.98 (limit 1)
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast 3 Lbs $3.98 (limit 1)
Gala Apples for $0.25 per Lb
Kraft Mac and Cheese $0.38 (limit 3)

They do have these coupons on a flier in the store or you can get them off the Winco website. This sale will continue until October 7.

I will attempt another recon this week and hopefully have more to report.
